The School of Business and the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate at the University of San Diego offers an award-winning faculty that are well-known for their cutting-edge research and innovative teaching methods. Professors like the world-renown Norm Miller, Hahn Chair of Real Estate Finance, provide students with the competencies and real-world experiences, required to thrive in the business world. The School of Business Administration’s faculty members have published more than 280 referred journal articles within the past five years alone. The real estate faculty’s research is vast, comprehensive, impressive and forward-thinking. The curriculum of USD’s MSRE program helps students develop a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the real estate business. For example, it examines the macro and micro-level factors that influence the demand and supply in the real estate space market; it analyzes the factors that investors and developers consider when making their decisions in the real estate asset market; and it explores the various debt and equity sources in the real estate capital market. By interacting with industry professionals and working on live projects, students learn how to apply the knowledge and skills they acquire in the program.
